When students engage in appropriate behaviors, they earn punches. The secret to making this effective is selecting a valuable reward. When their punch card is full, they can exchange it for a reward.

When you first start using punch cards, you may need to start with the cards that have 5 punches making it easier and quicker for students to earn the reward. Once they understand the process and make progress, slowly increase the amount of punches on the punch cards. This resource include punch cards with 5, 10, and 20 punches.

You can use this over different amounts of times whether it is for one subject, a day, or even a week.

The reinforcement may appear more similar for your students because they all are using punch cards. However, you can differentiate it by using the different amount of punches on the cards depending on what your student needs.
