Welcome! Thanks for stopping by to check out SEL material. I have worked primary with kiddos with an autism diagnosis and have found that identifying emotional correlation to situations can be challenging; that is how this flip book/ workbook came about.

It is broken up into three categories:

-Baseline – Teaching – Intervention

5 emotions are explored:

TIRED

MAD

SAD

HAPPY

SILLY

Baseline: includes a picture of a situation (i.e. friends are hugging and smiling with the question “how do you think he/she feels? )

Teaching: includes the same examples included in baseline with an explanation of why someone would guess an emotion that goes with the picture (i.e. picture of friends hugging and included under the picture “HAPPY- Why would you think she/he is happy? He/she is smiling and hugging.)

Intervention- includes the same pictures from the above without text. This is the time when students label the emotions related to the picture. To take the identifications a step further ask students why they thing a certain emotion goes with a picture.

All pictures are from Pixabay.com

Thanks!
