Communication is not just a thing to check off our lists… it is EVERYTHING. How can we learn without effective communication? How can we grow? How do we expect children to make progress on their goals? ​​​​​​​​

Despite this, only a handful of states have “Communication Plans” for deaf and hard-of-hearing learners. These are an EXTREMELY valuable tool — they guide the team’s discussion about communication skills and access from hearing aids to sign language and everything in between. ​​​​​​​​
