Qualities of Friend or Acquaintance Sorting Activity (Social Skills)

Welcome! It can be challenging for kiddos with ASD to discriminate between friend and acquaintance. This sorting activity tackles teaching the difference by having students sort the qualities into the two categories.

Example qualities include:

Friend: (you know details about his/her life) This is Also a great addition to a school counseling lesson.

Cut and paste or laminate and use Velcro for longer use. This is a simple black and white sorting activity to include 4 qualities of a friend and 5 of an acquaintance.
